This section documents the prevalence of mass and large-scale sexual violence that take place outside the ambit of armed conflict and settler colonialism. These case reports chronicle incidents of mass sexual violence that have taken place against the backdrop of some form of structural, systemic, or cultural violence that have targeted a particular community without there necessarily being a "war" of any sort.
